EarlySight and PulseSight Therapeutics collaborate to add Cellularis® 2 Retinal Imaging to PST-611 Phase 2 Study

Geneva, Switzerland and Paris, France, 9 October 2026 – EarlySight and PulseSight Therapeutics today announced a collaboration to integrate EarlySight’s Cellularis® 2 retinal imaging device into PulseSight’s soon to start Phase 2a clinical trial of PST-611 in late dry AMD/Geographic Atrophy.  The announcement follows PulseSight’s presentation of PST-611 Phase 1 results at the 26th EURETINA Congress in Vienna.

Cellularis® 2 will generate high-resolution longitudinal data to assess the protective effect of PST-611 on retinal tissues as well as the reduction of the GA progression, based on cellular level imaging biomarkers, providing early insights into PST-611 therapeutic activity and complementing the other functional and anatomical endpoints.

Bringing Cellular-Level Endpoints to Drug Development

As an exploratory imaging modality in the PST-611 trial, Cellularis 2 will allow investigators to examine retinal cellular structures and microarchitectural changes that are not visible at the tissue-level resolution of conventional imaging.

“By evaluating retinal changes at the cellular level with Cellularis 2, we have a unique opportunity to observe the impact of PST-611 on protecting retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and photoreceptors,  in ways that have not previously been possible in a clinical trial,” said Judith Greciet, CEO of PulseSight. “This innovative technology will strengthen the assessment of PST-611 early efficacy with  novel insights and advance a precise, ground-truth-driven approach to retinal drug development.”

“Sensitive biomarkers may detect biological changes before conventional endpoints become apparent,” added Timothe Laforest, CEO of EarlySight. “We are pleased to explore how Cellularis 2 can support the development of PST-611 and advance precision ophthalmology.”

About EarlySight

EarlySight is a Swiss medical technology company advancing ophthalmic imaging. Its Cellularis® 2 patented device provides non-invasive, cellular-level retinal imaging that helps clinicians and researchers visualize retinal microstructures and investigate imaging biomarkers for clinical research and pharmaceutical development.

About PulseSight Therapeutics

PulseSight Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing an innovative vectorized platform to address severe eye diseases with significant unmet medical needs.

Its lead program PST-611, is developed in late dry AMD/Geographic Atrophy; a leading cause of blindness which still represents a large unmet need.

PST-611 is a first-in-class therapy candidate encoding transferrin that plays a key role in the control of iron homeostasis. Dry AMD/GA is associated with a dysregulation of iron levels and oversaturation of transferrin. Through the expression of transferrin, PST-611 intervenes in a key upstream mechanism of GA pathogenesis and, thus, targets the multiple downstream biological cascades that drive the disease progression.

PST-611 has recently completed a first in human Phase 1 study showing its excellent safety profile and positive early signals of efficacy. The company is now initiating  a Phase 2a clinical study to confirm PST-611 safety and efficacy profile after repeated administration.
