THE STORY

EarlySight SA is a swiss start-up company based in Geneva and aiming at revolutionizing care of diseases affecting the back of the eye. The company is an EPFL spin-off founded in 2019 by two engineers: Timothé Laforest, PhD and Mathieu Kunzi, and two professors: Francine Behar-Cohen, MD, PhD and Christophe Moser, PhD. They have developed an imaging tool able to spot the tiny cells composing the eye tissues in order to make a very accurate measurement of its biological structure. The monitoring and treatment follow-up of eye diseases will be greatly improved thanks to the objective structural measurement giving highly accurate snapshot of the disease stage and evolution.
